BIR Withholding Tax Table 2026

How much income tax comes out of your pay in 2026 — computed from your gross, the way payroll does it.

Effective January 2026 (TRAIN law)

Withholding tax is the income tax your employer takes out each payday. In 2026 it still follows the TRAIN law brackets. The catch: it is charged on your taxable income — your gross pay minus your SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contributions — not on your full salary. Type your gross below and this works it out for you.

Assumes standard contributions and no non-taxable allowances. Your payslip is the authority.

Questions people ask

How much is withholding tax on a ₱25,000 salary in 2026?

On a ₱25,000 monthly salary your taxable income after mandatory contributions is about ₱22,925, which falls in the 15% bracket over ₱20,833. The monthly withholding tax is about ₱314. Your exact figure depends on your contributions and any non-taxable allowances.

What salary is exempt from income tax in the Philippines?

Monthly taxable income of ₱20,833 or below (₱250,000 a year) is exempt from income tax under the TRAIN law. Statutory minimum wage earners are also exempt.

Are these still the TRAIN law rates in 2026?

Yes. The graduated rates in effect since January 2023 under the TRAIN law (RA 10963) still apply in 2026.

Why is withholding tax taken from taxable income, not gross?

Your SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contributions are deducted from gross pay first. Tax is then charged only on what remains, plus any taxable allowances. This is why tax is lower than applying the bracket rate to your full salary.
